Odontuya graduated from GWU with MSN in 2014 and worked in oncology, home health care, and concierge health care (personalized medical service) settings. She felt there was something missing when she was providing care for patients; they were taking many medications and some of the patients were not getting healthier. She experienced these issues during her own health battles as well.
Looking for another approach she received her certification in functional medicine (CFMP) in 2019. Now she treats the whole person with multidisciplinary approaches that get to the root cause of a problem while emphasizing a healthy lifestyle through nutrition and exercise. She is constantly learning and currently, she has been studying functional nutrition “Food as Medicine” to gain more in-depth knowledge to help special populations including those with Diabetes, Insulin Resistance, Hypertension, Hypercholesterolemia, Hypothyroidism, Anxiety, Depression, Insomnia, Fatigue, Autoimmunity, and Osteoarthritis.
Odontuya is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and is licensed to practice in Washington, DC, and VA. She is a German-trained MD, who had worked at dermatological clinics in Germany and Mongolia before moving to the USA. In her spare time, she likes to read mysteries, biographies, and travel with her family.
